The temazcal is the representation of the womb of mother earth, it is a sacred place called the navel, where you enter to sweat or purge all the toxins, energetically you enter to confront yourself, to cure or heal your fears, your grudges, the traumas of past and to release feelings and emotions, our Zapotec temazcal is made of adobe, heated in a traditional way with firewood extracted from the mountains, inside the temazcal we place a delicious bed of herbs known among the Zapotec people as "Yag garciin"

In our Zapotec temazcal we preserve the traditional and ancestral practice from the Zapotec origins, essentially using the plant called "Gyag garsiin" in Zapotec. There are no botanical studies about this plant, however the ancient Zapotecs attribute multiple medicinal properties to it. This plant is collected in the mountains of the community a few hours before carrying out the temazcal.
En nuestro temazcal zapoteco preservamos la práctica tradicional y ancestral de los orígenes zapotecos, básicamente utilizando la planta llamada "Gyag garsiin" en zapoteca. No hay estudios botánicos sobre esta planta, sin embargo los antiguos zapotecas le atribuyen múltiples propiedades medicinales. Esta planta se recoge en las montañas de la comunidad a pocas horas de realizar el temazcal.
